"We're launching a SaaS product!"
Context
As a global company with ownership of several brands around the world, Carlsberg needs to ensure that its domains comply with global policies, including age verification and cookie policies. Therefore, we created a platform to help developers align with these requirements and download the necessary scripts for their domains.
Solution
Unable to create new components, I had to follow the existing design, making subtle enhancements based on my research with users. However, new research revealed that users have a fast learning process, and the enhancements have been useful in making their work easier.
My role
Senior UX/UI Designer.
Time of project
+ 1 year.
The UX Process
Understanding the problem
Our task was to create something without any previous websites with similar characteristics to use as a reference. Consequently, I relied on existing designs, previous studies, and my expertise. I then initiated my research to gain a deeper understanding of the project requirements.
Usabilty test
The first step was to conduct a usability test to understand how our users interact with the platform. This included assessing their ability to navigate between pages, comprehend its functions, and perform tasks. This approach allowed me to identify gaps and plan improvements to enhance the user experience.

User flow
With the test results in hand, I redesigned the user flow to gain a clearer understanding of how users behave while performing various tasks on the platform.

The UI Process
MVP
We had a short deadline to launch the product, so the MVP was simple but incorporated improvements identified during the discovery phase.

V1
Following Carlsberg's new Design System (Malty) parameters, v1 is still in development, but we have made significant enhancements based on our tests and studies.

Testing
Using Datadog, I gained a better understanding of our users' behaviour by analyzing recordings, heatmaps, and analytics.

Impact
Data collected from Datadog revealed that users completed tasks 12% faster on the platform. This metric is particularly significant for this user group, as their primary goal is to accomplish tasks as efficiently as possible, minimizing time spent on the platform.
