"Working with short deadlines. Creating features for salesmen."
Context
Stellantis, the parent company of brands like Fiat, Jeep, Peugeot, and Citroën, also owns a car rental service called Flua! They faced challenges in boosting sales through their salesmen, as these professionals lacked access to the platform. Our task was to design and implement a solution that would empower the sales team with the tools they needed to drive more sales effectively.
Project Goals
-
Help salesman with a new tool;
-
Increase sales.
My role
Senior UX/UI Designer.
Time of project
3 days.
The problem
Understanding the problem
When customers need to rent a car from Stellantis, they must navigate the website and complete the process on their own. However, some customers prefer visiting a physical store for assistance from salesmen. The challenge arises because salesmen need to log into customers' accounts to help, requiring customers to share their passwords and other sensitive data, leading to privacy and security concerns.
A design brief
Desk Research: To familiarize myself with these features, I explored websites with similar objectives. This helped me understand the standard user interactions and expectations, providing valuable insights into what users were already accustomed to.
I collaborated with the Product Owner to create the brief, outlining the objectives and goals for the project. Key points included:
-
Defining the features accessible to salesmen.
-
Reusing existing components from the customers' page to ensure consistency.
-
Implementing a minimalist design approach.
-
Displaying only essential information on the cover page to maintain clarity and focus.
Polishing the Experience
Prototyping
With a short deadline and limited components, I customized an existing layout to adapt to our objectives.

Testing
Usability test
I moderated usability tests with users by assigning tasks and asking targeted questions to evaluate the design's usability and gather actionable feedback.
4 of 5 users were able to complete the tasks the first time they tried
1 user complete the tasks making one mistake
None of them have problems understanding the words used
All of the images and icons were clear to them
Learnings
With just a three-day deadline, no development resources, limited components, and the need for a high-fidelity prototype, adaptability became key. Overcoming these challenges, I focused on leveraging available resources efficiently to deliver a high-quality design that met the project's objectives.
